Take a look at this gorgeous guy! And boy is he ever sweet! He was hanging out at an elementary school when one of our volunteers took him to safety. Efforts were made to find his owners but no one claimed him. He’s mostly lab, but with that cute black and pink nose might be mixed with terrier, his stand up ears might be from a shepherd, and he vocalizes like a husky. We aren’t exactly sure and quite frankly we don’t care because the S.A.S.M.’s (San Antonio Special Mixes) are the best kind of dogs to have any way!
Ashton has an absolutely fantastic temperament and would love an active family to play with. Canine playmates do not appreciate his WWF type of play and energy level. Therefore he would probably be best as an only pet – that way he can be the “one and only” to receive all of your love and attention.
Ashton is a solid boy who is lots of fun and very loving, especially towards children. He is house broken, crate trained, an excellent car rider, and graduated from basic training class. He is food and toy motivated and knows basic commands. He has moments of calm, chewing nylabones at your feet, and receiving belly rubs, but also likes to chase balls (still working on the concept of bringing them back!) and needs to work off some energy. But a high fence is key because he loves to chase those teasing squirrels!
Ashton recently spent 12 weeks in training at Starmark Academy in Hutto. This is equivalent to sending your human children to Harvard! Ashton has an absolutely fantastic temperament and would love an active family to play with.
Ashton loves to give and receive affection and thinks he’s an 80 pound lap doggie. He has been neutered, is UTD on vaccinations, dewormed, micro chipped, heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. His adoption fee is $165. This fellow is a real gem and would love the chance to show you how handsome he is in person. Come by to meet him and get your sloppy kiss fix for the day! They just don’t come any sweeter than this!
