You’re invited to our 2019 Homes for Pets Stocking Donation and Stuffing party!
It’s hard to believe it, but we’re already planning for the 2019 Holiday season!! We are asking for your help to fill and assemble the pet stockings for this year’s holiday sale. This event is an important part of funding the medical services and care for all of the pets in the Homes for Pets/Schertz Humane Society programs.
Homes for Pets is a local 501( c)-3 nonprofit that serves abandoned and homeless cats and dogs in the San Antonio and surrounding areas, regardless of need or breed. HFP pays for the medical care for fosters in their programs to ensure that they adopt out healthy and thriving pets into loving forever homes. HFP is a great organization, run by a dedicated team of volunteers and foster families and this is a fun way to help them continue to serve their mission.
What’s happening:
- I’ll provide snacks and refreshments and we’ll work as a team to create ~300 stockings in one afternoon!
- HFP provides the stockings & labels
- Guests bring individual new treats, toys, food or supplies for cats or dogs that will fit into a medium sized stocking
- We literally needs hundreds of each, so whatever you think would be appealing to a pet owner will work!
- No rawhide though please…and only stuffed toys appropriate for pets (no detachable eyes, etc that can cause a choking risk)
- Everyone’s welcome – friends, family, kids – whoever is able and willing to help out! Just let me know who’s coming please so we have a headcount for snacks and so we know we’ll have enough supplies and hands for a successful event.
When/Where:
- Saturday November 9th ~2-5pm
