PUPPIES ARE ADORABLE!!
PUPPY MYTHS

Yes, its true, they are adorable. But puppies aren't for everybody. They require a tremendous amount of time and commitment, not to mention patience! And with today's busy lifestyles, you may not have enough leftover time to spend an hour each day doing obedience drills. And you may not have the patience to endure weeks of housebreaking and months of furniture chewing. Puppies don't understand about sleeping in on Sunday mornings, and they don't understand daylight savings time!
Children grow up much slower than puppies. Small children can unintentionally hurt a puppy, and vice versa. Those puppy teeth are sharp!

If you really have your heart set on adopting a puppy, be advised that puppies rarely come into rescue's care. Most people think little puppies are really cute, until they get to be about 9 months old and 70 lbs, then the cuteness wears off. That's the common age when dogs come into rescue or are left at shelters, no matter the size - 9 to 18 months of age. Big bodies, little minds - they have grown but still have puppy energy, puppy attention span, puppy needs. So you might consider adopting a "big" grown puppy. But, if you are patient, we can keep you on a waiting list and notify you when we hear that a very young puppy is available for adoption.
